June 13 Day 18 Regina to Stoughton 150k (2074k)

Took Hwy 33 on a southeast tangent to get to the Redcoat Trail, Hwy 13 (then Hwy 2 in MB), which crosses the southern prairies and is reputed to have less traffic. Hwy 13 was quite variable - some smooth sections and some really rough sections. Had to ride in the traffic lane much of the time as the shoulder was in rough shape at many points. Was not dangerous due to small volume of traffic. Jan complained I was not sending enough interesting photos so I sent her the north, south, east, and west shots, which pretty well sum up what we saw. Actually the roadside is alive with bird life around the sloughs and we saw deer and a fox as well. Camped at Stoughton Park on a Saturday night so there was noise for awhile until some teens got tired of beating on some large metal dugout covers and went home.
