June 7 Day 12 Fernie to Pincher Creek 120 k

We rode the first part of our journey over the Crowsnest Pass with Susie and Chris. Jacquie kindly agreed to drive her car to Colman so they could ride with us. Peter followed Jacquie in their car. The day was chilly but we rolled up to the the top of the pass pretty easily after a stop for breakfast in Sparwood where we did a comparison of a very large truck to our bikes. The truck won. The descent to Colman was rolling and there were still a number of climbs but it was the easiest of all the passes we crossed. We said good-byes to Susie and Chris at Colman and continued on to Pincher Creek, where we decided to stay in a motel. Both of us were pretty chilled and the 6 C temperture did not seem very likely to help us get warm. Also there was a weather warning that it could snow again overnight. The weather forecast for the next day was not good, calling for cold - 0 to 6 C and snow or rain.
