Day 7 June 2 Christina Lake to Castlegar 85K

694k in 7 days with another early start. Paulson Pass (1535m) another grind. Climb started about 5 k out of the campsite and really climbed for 31 k before rolling out to the top at 36 k. Once over the top, a long descent into Castleagar with headwinds that forced us to pedal all the time to keep up any speed. And to make matters worse, no place for breakfast until Castlegar at 1:30pm! No coffee!! 1st coffee of the day was wonderful! Blogged at public library afterwards, then on to my son, Jeff's place on Pass Creek Road. Beautiful spot. Weather still warm and sunny. Minor aches and pains, but all manageable; an expected part of this kind of thing. Had a fun visit with Jeff, his older golden lab , Dutch, his new 4 month old Cane Corso (sp?), Max and his cat, Bob(cat). Enjoyed a wonderful pasta supper and played pool while watching the hockey final on tv at a nice pub in Castlegar.
