Day 5 Sunday May 24 Keremeos to Midway 123.5 K

Over 2 passes today. First one was not that formidable ( 682m), but the descent into Osoyoos was fun. A long descent at high speeds over 60 kph for quite a long run. Osoyoos and the lake are very beautiful; roads climb out of the valley in all directions. Had a big breakfast there and then tackled Anarchist Pass (1233m). Very tough, grueling climb. First 18K is full of switch backs and both of us were in granny gears throughout. Stopped at many points to look, drink, rest and enjoy. Total climb was 26K and then on to Midway. Nice campsite at this little border town. (will pick up blog again; time running out for computer use)
