Jun 19 - Woodridge Corner to Rainy River, Ontario 159 km

Friday they left Woodridge Corner, crossed into the US for ~65 km before returning to Canada at Rainy River where they spent the night. Uneventful border crossings and an unexpected lunch on the house at the Roosevelt Rustic Diner They opted for a motel tonight as an antidote to the mosquito assault of the previous night and Friday night in Rainy River is no time to be camping in itty bitty tents. They are very glad to be off the prairies and back among the familiar tree lined roads they are used to. Even the wind has decided to be more cooperative with welcoming tailwinds and no crosswinds. They expect to take 3 days to get to Thunderbay, 440 km from Rainy River.
