Jul 15 - Woodstock to Sheffield 145km

Casey's Campground - the sign says it all!

They had a good ride today covering 145km by 3pm stopping at a campground 40 km east of Fredericton. They rode into Nagawic on Hwy 102 which Gary described as flat and deserted so they made great time for the first part of the day. Then at Kings Landing they had to detour to Hwy 2 where they hit the hills and could never figure out how to get back to Hwy 102 so it wasn't until Fredericton that they got onto Hwy 105. However, they went through Fredericton hoping to find some sort of accommodation near Jemseg and stopped when they came to Casey's Campground at Sheffield - an open field attached to a diner with home baked pies, milkshakes, etc - do we know where their priorities are now?? Casey's also sports a museum with artifacts from the 50s, 60s, & 70s including a 57 Chev, so they were also enjoying a blast from the past with their homemade blueberry pie a la mode. They will travel up to Moncton tomorrow for a night with Tug's sister-in-law then start the homeward ride which they are thinking will take 2 1/2 days and put them in Wolfville Sunday afternoon. Stay tuned for updates on their arrival in Wolfville.
